The Pele, Victor West and Uniform Surround properties comprise a group of 96 claims adjoining the MacFadyen Kimberlites (5 claims), as well as the north and west sides of the De Beers Victor property.
Debut now has an interest in 101 contiguous unpatented mining claims located to the west and north-west of the Victor Mine. The total area of those claims is 229 square kilometres or 22,900 hectacres (see map below).
In October 2011, Debut completed a new 900 sq. km. Victor Area Airborne Geophysical Survey over the entire MacFadyen, Pele, Victor West and Uniform Surround claim blocks.
Debut received excellent logistical support from De Beers Canada at their Victor Camp and was able to fly a total of 15,030 line kilometers by helicopter at 75 meter spacing, in two large regional grids, in just under 30 days.
Debut was able to mobilize the entire survey operation from the De Beers Victor Camp at great time and cost savings for a total projected cost of just under $1 million.
Within two main grids, Debut also surveyed an additional 670 sq. km. of territory to the north, south and west of De Beers Victor mine.
The flying conditions were ideal and the data collected is of superb quality and resolution.
The opportunity to potentially identify additional diamondiferous kimberlite resources to augment the Victor plants production and defer its ultimate closure, describes an increasing timely prospect for Debut and its MacFadyen and other Victor Area properties.
The data is currently undergoing analysis by Scott Hogg & Associates Ltd. for the development of prioritized targets for follow-up exploration. Part of the target selection analysis will include overlaying and cross-referencing to previously acquired data sets which now include many other drill-defined diamondiferous kimberlites in the area.
On November 10, 2011 Debut filed its Victor Area survey work for assessment with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) and received approval of that filing on December 2, 2011.
Pele Debut holds a 100% interest in the Pele claims, and is the operator of the project.
Victor West Debut holds a 100% interest in the Victor West claims and is the operator of the project.
MacFadyen Kimberlites Debut has a 58.35% participating interest in the MacFadyen Kimberlites and is the operator of the project.
Uniform Surround Debut has a 28.12% participating interest and a 2% Net Smelter Royalty (NSR) in the Uniform Surround claims adjoining the east side of the MacFadyen Kimberlites property. These mineral claims surround an isolated De Beers claim that hosts a kimberlite pipe known as the Uniform Pipe.
